Just a quick heads-up to anyone wishing to observe- there will be a public service for Birkat Hachamah tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9:15am in the Hillel Academy parking lot.

For more information about Birkat Hachamah: http://www.chabadpgh.com/holidays/sun/default_cdo/aid/817861/jewish/Birkat-Hachamah.htm

(this service will be followed by the burning of chometz in preparation for erev Pesach).

This sounds really cool.

Any idea how, er, "beginner-friendly" it will or won't be?

Chabad is pretty helpful with these sorts of things- they are a group out to help Jews be more Jewish afterall. Come!

Hey -- thanks for the tip -- I did end up going after all.

Please keep posting about events like this -- I would have never known about it otherwise.

you might wish to keep an eye on the calendar on the chabadpgh.com site. Also, the windows at Pinskers tend to advertise local events.

Chag Sameach!
